kind of a test, kind of an announcement

Hey everyone!

All but one of you are from email365 - I hope you’re all doing well!

I’ve taken a bunch of time to step back and think about what I’m doing, and I think I’ve finally found it.

This should be coming from a different email domain, refactoryourcareer.tech. If it doesn’t… oops.

My mission is to help developers future-proof and improve their careers by networking and building personal brands.

I was laid off recently when my employer went under… and I had new opportunities lined up the next day, because I have a strong network. My coworkers, on the other hand, are facing a grueling, demeaning, soul-crushing job search. I want to help them avoid that fate.

The future of software development as an economically valuable activity is, at best, uncertain. Networks are AI-proof. They can’t be outsourced. They’re an asset that compounds over time.

Audiences are great, market positioning is great, funnels are great - but all of them can disappear in an instant. Networks can’t. There is no substitute for real relationships based on trust.

Anyways - that’s why I’m doing. I don’t really have a plan to monetize this yet. And that’s why I’m so excited about it… this is an actual mission that I actually care about.

We’ll see if it resonates.
