you should be proud of your resume

I have a cheat code for you.

It will help you 1) ace interviews, 2) create authority-building content, and 3) make you feel good about yourself.

Take 30 minutes and write a chronological account of your career so far. All the projects, all the people, all the problems and all the solutions.

Now pick the 5 biggest wins. Could be project launches, could be fires you put out, could be working up the nerve to ask for a raise. Doesn’t really matter - if you’re proud of it, it counts.

Once you have 5 wins, write about them. Put down a summary of what happened. Write about what you did right. Write about what you learned. And write about it in a way that positions you as the hero of the story. Don’t lie, obviously, just write from your perspective. How did you contribute? What was the outcome?

Once you’re done that, put them on your website (if you don’t have a personal website, do that first and do it now).

Now you have 5 refined stories that emphasize your achievements - exactly what you need to ace interviews.

Now you have 5 pieces of personal, high quality content - exactly what you need to stand out.

And now you have 5 pieces of proof that you’re great and should be proud of yourself.
